CustodialView ("CustodialView," "we," "us," or "our") provides a white-labeled, real-time client portal platform for janitorial, commercial, and residential cleaning companies ("Customers"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including for text message (SMS) alerts.
Information we collect
When a Customer sets up and uses CustodialView, we and our Customers may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, company name, and login credentials.
- Phone numbers, when a Customer's admin voluntarily enters one to enable optional text alert features.
- Operational data the Customer's team enters into the platform: time-clock records, photos taken for job documentation, schedules, and client communications.
- Billing information, processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- Standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected automatically for security and diagnostics.
How we use information
We use collected information to operate and improve the CustodialView platform, provide customer support, process payments, secure accounts, and — only where a Customer has explicitly opted in — send operational text and email alerts described below.
Text messaging (SMS) program
Opt-in. Text alerts are off by default. A Customer's admin opts in by logging into their own password/PIN-protected CustodialView account and entering a phone number into the Text Alerts section of their account settings, then saving it. No phone number ever receives messages unless it was entered there by the account holder.
What you'll receive. Operational alerts only — for example, a notification when a team member clocks in or out at a job site, or a flag when a scheduled visit was missed. These are not marketing messages.
Message frequency varies based on account activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Opt-out. Reply STOP to any text alert at any time to stop all messages immediately, or remove the phone number from the Text Alerts settings screen inside the app. Reply HELP for assistance.
No sharing for marketing. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the platform (cloud hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, payment processing), bound by contract to use it only to provide that service.
- A Customer's own team members and clients, within that Customer's own private, isolated instance of the platform — CustodialView customers do not have access to each other's data.
- Law enforcement or regulators, only when required by law.
Data security
Each CustodialView customer's data lives in its own isolated, access-controlled cloud database. Credentials and third-party API keys are stored in a secrets manager, never in source code. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold.
Data retention
We retain account and operational data for as long as a Customer's account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for legal, accounting, or legitimate business purposes.
Your choices
You may opt out of text alerts at any time as described above. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
CustodialView is a business-to-business tool intended for use by adult employees and administrators of cleaning companies. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
